Job Description

The Parking Spot is a leading company in the near-airport parking industry in the United States, boasting over 25 years of experience and expanding to more than 40 locations nationwide. With a team of over 2,000 dedicated employees, the company prides itself on its employee ownership program, allowing every team member to share directly in the success of the business. This model creates a unique work environment where each individual is motivated and valued in their contributions to exceptional service across the country. The Parking Spot has established itself as a trusted name for convenient and reliable airport parking, committed to providing guests with safety, efficiency, and excellent customer care.

The Maintenance role at The Parking Spot is a vital part of the team responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the company’s facilities. Maintenance team members ensure that all lobbies, offices, and areas within the parking premises meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This is achieved by performing daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash removal, as well as walking all facilities regularly to identify any issues that require attention. The Maintenance team also plays a critical role in checking safety equipment including shuttles, gate arms, and lot security systems, ensuring they are in good condition or reporting any need for repairs to management promptly.

This part-time position offers shifts in the afternoon and evening, paying $17 per hour plus tips, with regular opportunities to earn bonuses. For those eligible, the company provides attractive benefits including medical, vision, dental insurance, 401(k) plans, paid time off, vacation pay, and paid holidays, enhancing the overall compensation package. The company values consistency in scheduling and fosters professional development through training opportunities, helping team members advance their skills and careers within the organization.

The Maintenance role also involves teamwork and cooperation with other departments to deliver superior guest service. Employees in this role may occasionally assist in other areas or cross-train for frontline positions, providing value and versatility to the company’s operations. Attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to handle physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds regularly are essential qualifications. The role demands adaptability, including working under various weather conditions, ensuring that the company’s facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.

Beyond job responsibilities, The Parking Spot actively promotes a diverse and inclusive culture that celebrates differences and fosters equity. As part of the travel industry, the company recognizes the importance of bringing together people from various backgrounds and communities. It insists on dignity, respect, and zero tolerance for racism or discrimination, supporting equal opportunity and fostering a workplace where every voice is heard. This commitment to ongoing learning and development underscores the company’s dedication to not just meeting but exceeding workplace standards and guest expectations.
