Job Description

First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) stands as a pillar of dependable financial services with a rich history of more than 160 years. Known for its customer-first approach, FNBO has cultivated a reputation for financial stability, innovation, and deep community involvement. As a well-established regional bank, it provides a comprehensive suite of banking products including personal and business banking, wealth management, loans, and investment solutions to individuals and institutions alike. FNBO values its employees as the core of its success and invests heavily in cultivating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that nurtures professional growth and collaboration.

The Mail Operations & Logistics Associate role at FNBO is a dynamic position that plays a critical part in the bank's operational excellence and customer service delivery. This role is primarily focused on managing the day-to-day mail processing and logistics functions within FNBO's lockbox and mail processing operations. Encompassing responsibilities that span USPS coordination, courier service management (including DHL, FedEx, and UPS), and vendor relations for equipment maintenance, the role demands a strategic and hands-on approach to ensure smooth, efficient mail services.

This position involves managing a diverse portfolio of third-party service providers, ensuring that all mail-related operations comply with postal regulations and service level agreements. The associate leads efforts to optimize mail processing through data-driven forecasting, scheduling, and equipment maintenance coordination with vendors such as OPEX. By overseeing vendor performance, developing emergency procedures, and implementing quality assurance protocols, this role directly supports FNBO's commitment to operational reliability and cost-efficiency.

In addition to tactical management, the Mail Operations & Logistics Associate is tasked with strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. Working closely with various internal departments—including Lockbox Operations, Branch Operations, IT, Compliance, and Audit—the associate ensures that mail processing systems, courier services, and equipment capabilities align with business needs and client requirements. This includes supporting new client onboarding processes, overseeing mail volume forecasts, and enabling technology integrations for improved operational visibility.

The ideal candidate brings at least five years of relevant experience in banking operations, focusing on mail and lockbox processing or vendor management. A strong grasp of postal regulations, courier service standards, and equipment maintenance protocols is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are critical to success in this role.

FNBO offers a competitive salary range of $47,613 to $78,560, reflective of experience and skill level. The work environment is onsite, fostering innovation, teamwork, and a vibrant culture where employees are encouraged to contribute ideas and grow professionally. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees' physical and financial well-being, underscoring FNBO's commitment to its workforce.

This opportunity at FNBO not only offers a rewarding career path in logistics and mail operations within the banking sector but also a chance to be part of an esteemed organization that values inclusion, belonging, and employee success. Candidates with a passion for operational excellence and vendor management are invited to apply and contribute to FNBO's ongoing story of success.
