The Mail Courier role at Chickasaw Nation Industries supports critical mailroom and courier operations for federal customers, ensuring the seamless handling and delivery of incoming, outgoing, interoffice, accountable, and special handling mail and packages. The position operates within a federal facility environment and requires strict adherence to organizational policies, contract requirements, federal customer procedures, USPS regulations, safety protocols, and security mandates. Job Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three months of related mailroom, courier, logistics, warehouse, administrative support, customer service, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, postage meters, shipping systems, package tracking, mailroom operations, or federal facility support preferred
- Proficient in using mailroom equipment and electronic communication devices
- Ability to follow organizational policies and federal procedures
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and positive attitude under pressure
Job Duties
- Supports daily mailroom and courier operations including receiving, sorting, processing, tracking, pickup, and delivery of incoming, outgoing, interoffice, accountable, and special handling mail and packages
- Performs scheduled mail pickup and delivery runs for federal customers in accordance with established routes, delivery schedules, contract requirements, and supervisor direction
- Drives an automobile, van, or light truck to transport mail, documents, packages, and other authorized items to approved delivery locations including federal facilities, post offices, carrier locations, and other designated sites
- Processes outgoing mail and packages by weighing, metering, applying correct postage, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring packages are properly addressed and documented
- Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages according to mail stops, departments, customer requirements, and established mailroom procedures
- Obtains signatures, receipts, delivery confirmations, and other required documentation for accountable mail, certified mail, registered mail, express mail, courier shipments, and special handling items
- Maintains accurate records, logs, tracking information, and chain-of-custody documentation for items received, processed, delivered, returned, or dispatched
- Uses mailroom equipment and systems including postage meters, scanners, multifunction printers, shipping software, tracking systems, mail processing equipment, and other designated tools
- Researches incomplete or incorrect delivery information and reroutes or returns mail in accordance with established procedures
- Responds to routine customer inquiries and service requests in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
- Maintains mailroom supplies, work areas, carts, equipment areas, and storage spaces in a clean, safe, neat, and orderly condition
- Follows applicable organizational policies, contract requirements, federal customer procedures, USPS regulations, safety protocols, security requirements, and established mail handling processes
- Reports suspicious mail, damaged items, unsafe conditions, delivery issues, equipment problems, customer concerns, or other operational irregularities to the appropriate supervisor
- Supports mail counts, delivery reports, internal quality checks, records, logs, and other reporting requirements as directed
- Maintains required training and remains current on applicable mailroom procedures, postal regulations, security mandates, safety requirements, and best practices
- May support other mailroom personnel during high-volume periods, special projects, staffing shortages, or operational needs
- Understands contractor personnel receive work assignments and direction from contractor supervisors, not government personnel
- Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to training
