Magnolia is a distinguished hospitality brand known for its commitment to creating memorable and welcoming experiences for guests. Operating from its flagship location, Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas, the company has carved a niche in the restaurant industry by blending Southern hospitality with a contemporary dining atmosphere. Magnolia prides itself on delivering exceptional guest services, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and fostering a welcoming environment that reflects its brand values of warmth, friendliness, and quality. The company is dedicated to creating a workplace culture that values teamwork, inclusiveness, and a positive guest-focused attitude, positioning itself as a leading dining destination in the region. As part of its team, employees at Magnolia are supported and encouraged to develop their skills and contribute meaningfully to the overall guest experience. This role reports directly to the Assistant Front of House Manager but does not include supervisory responsibilities, highlighting a focus on collaboration and frontline guest interactions.

The position of Host at Magnolia Table is a vital role responsible for managing the initial guest interaction and ensuring a seamless, efficient front-of-house flow. The Host serves as the welcoming face of Magnolia, greeting guests with enthusiasm and professionalism and providing necessary information to enhance their dining experience. This role demands keen organizational skills to strategically manage guest flow, pre-assign seating, and handle reservation information effectively. Beyond greeting and seating, the Host also contributes to maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with bussing and resetting tables, handling menus, and supporting wait staff by running drinks and food when necessary. This fast-paced role requires someone with strong multitasking abilities, a pleasant and professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills to respond promptly to guest needs or escalate concerns to management.

At Magnolia, the Host's responsibilities align with the company’s core competencies, including teamwork, critical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and a strong guest focus. The role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and hospitality, offering an environment that nurtures personal growth and teamwork. Applicants are expected to have a high school diploma or GED, possess a Food Handler's license and TABC certification upon hire, and be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. The role environment is dynamic and requires physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting, and occasionally stooping or kneeling. Safety and cleanliness are emphasized, and Magnolia offers accommodations for individuals with disabilities. This position plays a key role in embodying Magnolia’s brand by fostering a personalized and guest-centric experience, making it a perfect fit for individuals eager to join a welcoming and professional team dedicated to excellence in hospitality.
