The Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) division is currently seeking multiple Machinist Assemblers Precision to join its skilled machinist departments located in either Seattle, WA, or Tukwila, WA. These positions are full-time and expected to be 100% onsite at one of the specified locations. Machinist Assemblers Precision at Boeing play a crucial role in the design, fabrication, and assembly of various production and research projects that support aircraft engineering and production groups. Using a wide array of precision machines such as lathes, grinders, EDM, CNC, and milling machines, machinists contribute directly to the quality and precision of aerospace components that meet the demanding standards of the industry.

This role is foundational to Boeing’s manufacturing capabilities, involving detailed hand work and machine operation to produce components that meet exact engineering specifications. Candidates will engage in activities including bench work such as drilling, honing, tapping, and reaming on both production and experimental parts. They will assemble parts using rivets and bolts, operate complex machinery while selecting appropriate tools and accessories, and apply mathematical principles to ensure dimensional accuracy. Additionally, machinists will program and adjust CNC machines, perform quality checks with precision measuring instruments, and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with engineering and production teams. This comprehensive skillset is essential for maintaining Boeing’s reputation for reliability and innovation.

The position requires familiarity with CAD and CAM software applications such as Mastercam, CATIA V5, and Unigraphics, as well as experience programming and running CNC machines. Reading and interpreting G and M codes are fundamental skills needed to succeed in this role. While one or more years of relevant experience are required, preference is given to those who have completed a Machinist Apprenticeship program, hold a Machining Certificate, or have journeyman training. Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined by export control regulations and must be able to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime when necessary.
