The Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) division is currently seeking multiple Machinist Assemblers Precision to join their teams located in Seattle, WA, or Tukwila, WA. These machinists will contribute to various production and research projects by using a range of precision machines such as lathes, grinders, EDM, CNC, and milling machines. The role is essential to supporting aircraft engineering and production groups, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in machining and assembly tasks.

This position involves hands-on work where precision and expertise in machining are required. Machinist Assemblers will participate in design, fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting processes for aircraft components and experimental parts. Responsibilities include performing bench work operations like drilling, honing, tapping, and reaming, assembling parts with rivets and bolts, and laying out machining sequences. The machinist will analyze technical drawings and sketches, use shop math and geometry to calculate dimensions, and determine raw materials for machining tasks. Setting up, operating, and adjusting a variety of machine tools and programming multi-axis machines are vital parts of this role.

Candidates must be skilled in reading G and M codes, performing minor CNC programming edits, and selecting proper cutting tools and machine accessories. Monitoring machine operations for smooth performance, checking work with precision instruments, and ensuring assembled parts meet stringent quality standards are daily expectations. Machinists will also fabricate fixtures and shop aids as needed, troubleshoot precision assemblies, and maintain their tool certifications. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required to assist in documentation and reporting.

This position demands a flexible schedule, including variable shifts, weekends, overtime, and possibly rotating shifts, with an expectation of working 100% onsite. Compliance with export control regulations is mandatory, requiring candidates to qualify as a U.S. Person according to federal definitions. Working under the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining Agreement, this hourly role offers a competitive salary starting at $33.32 per hour for new union members, with progression potential up to $61.01 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
