Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. person status as defined by regulation required
- ability to work rotating shifts including days and nights
- willingness to adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and procedural instructions
- ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment
- ability to perform physical tasks associated with machine operation
- capacity to learn CNC machine setup and operation through on-the-job training
- commitment to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- U.S. person status required including U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status
- manufacturing or similar industry related experience preferred
- experience with G&M codes, macro programming, and editing processes preferred
Job Duties
- Part of a team-oriented atmosphere and interact with other functional groups on technical matters
- setup CNC machines and run parts with training provided
- follow a weekly preventative maintenance process
- adhere to applicable instructions including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and reference documents
- use precision gauging tools including CMM and verify gauge calibration for micrometers, calipers, drills, and inserts
- identify and document out-of-spec conditions
- complete daily machine inspections and calibration verification
- follow first piece inspection procedure and understand tools and inserts functions
- adhere to all safety policies including Collins Aerospace Cardinal Rules
- participate in 5S and continuous improvement processes
- observe and comply with all environmental, health, and safety procedures
- maintain clean and organized work area
- prioritize tasks under changing conditions requiring judgment and ingenuity
- work 4 days on and 4 days off with 12-hour shifts, rotating days to nights every 6 weeks
