Now, TRUMPF is looking to hire a Machine Assembler to contribute to its leading manufacturing operations. This role is instrumental in bringing TRUMPF's cutting-edge machinery to life by assembling high-precision machines with attention to detail and adherence to strict quality standards. As a Machine Assembler, you will work hands-on with mechanical components, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, ensuring each product meets world-class specifications. You will learn to operate precision instruments such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels to maintain exact tolerances. The position involves handling heavy components with equipment like overhead cranes and maintaining a safe, clean workspace aligned with TRUMPF's lean manufacturing principles.

This job is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy assembling complex machinery and who thrive in innovative manufacturing environments. Candidates with at least two years of assembly experience or five years in manufacturing machine tool parts, maintenance, or service will excel in this position. The role requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, part lists, and schematics, in both imperial and metric measurements. Additionally, familiarity with electrical wiring and computer literacy are advantageous, along with a forklift license.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in assembly or 5 years experience in manufacturing of machine tool parts, maintenance, or service
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without aid
  • Must be able to perform repetitive reaching and bending
  • Ability to read simple schematics and blueprints
  • Must be able to work with accurate measuring devices
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with electrical wiring assembly is a plus
  • Computer literacy is a plus
  • Forklift license is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in assembly or 5 years experience in manufacturing of machine tool parts, maintenance, or service
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, part lists, and simple schematics and blueprints
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring devices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring assembly and computer literacy is a plus
  • Forklift license is advantageous

Job Duties

  • Assemble mechanical components and machines according to engineering drawings, part lists, blueprints, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic schematics
  • Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators and digital levels to achieve tolerances
  • Use appropriate fixtures to aid in the assembly process
  • Operate overhead crane to move heavy components during the assembly process
  • Adhere to TRUMPF quality standards
  • Ability to read, convert and measure in imperial (inch) and metric system
  • Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to achieve team goals
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area in accordance with TRUMPF’s lean principles
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe work environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes by providing input and feedback
