This part-time Concierge opportunity at the Michigan Athletic Club is designed for individuals passionate about customer service, program coordination, and community engagement.

The Concierge acts as an essential frontline leader at the Concierge Desk within the MAC. Primarily, this role involves managing member and guest interactions, supporting program registrations, and providing vital assistance related to various club activities. The position is part-time, with scheduled hours on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and weekends on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This role is ideal for someone seeking flexible working hours while making a meaningful impact on club members’ experiences.

In this role, the Concierge is responsible for greeting members and guests warmly, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current club programs, and handling scheduling tasks such as court reservations and program sign-ups. Proficiency in the Club Automation software is critical, as is the ability to manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately. The Concierge takes ownership of the desk operations and ensures excellent customer service throughout the member journey. They also support training initiatives for new caregivers and personnel at the POS and Concierge desk, fostering teamwork and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a similar concierge or desk attendant position, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required, underscoring the importance of safety awareness in the role. Educational prerequisites include a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational standing with continued enrollment in an early college program. The role demands a competent keyboarding ability and a friendly, approachable demeanor committed to enhancing the member experience.
