Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of work-related experience preferred
- physically able to lift items up to 50 pounds
- ability to comply with organizational health and safety policies
- willingness to complete ServSafe Food Handler certification within 90 days of hire

- 2 years of work-related experience preferred
- demonstrated discretion professionalism and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters
- excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels including residents staff families external vendors authorities and the public
- strong attention to detail in writing proofreading managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment demonstrating a cooperative respectful and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care
- skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology
- maintains professionalism composure and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations
- physically able to move throughout the workday and lift items up to 50 pounds using safe handling practices
- complies with organizational health and safety requirements including vaccination policies or valid exemptions
Job Duties
- prepare and cook food items by following basic recipes and production guidelines including seasoning tasting carving and serving menu items
- operate kitchen equipment and utensils to measure mix cut peel shred and trim ingredients including fruits vegetables meats poultry and fish
- estimate food quantities review menus maintain production records and requisition necessary supplies to meet daily food service needs
- accommodate special dietary requirements and prepare meals to order following verbal or written instructions as needed
- receive and manage inventory lifting and moving food supplies as required
- ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment in compliance with regulatory and food safety standards
- maintain all required documentation including temperature logs production records and cleaning checklists
