Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a leading hospitality and food service provider operating at iconic venues, including the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. This 20,000-seat arena, opened in 2017, is home to both the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and the NBA's Detroit Pistons. As the exclusive food, beverage, and retail provider at this landmark venue, Delaware North offers a wide range of services including concessions, premium dining options, and specialized services in innovative club areas, loge boxes, and luxury suites. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences with a focus on quality, efficiency, and hospitality.
Delaware North is more than just a company; it represents a global family-owned enterprise with over a century of history and expertise in hospitality across the world. With operations ranging from sports arenas to national parks, casinos, and more, Delaware North provides employees with unique career growth opportunities and a chance to work in dynamic and exciting environments.
Currently, Delaware North Sportservice is seeking part-time Suites Supervisors at Little Caesars Arena. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for those who thrive in fast-paced, guest-focused environments and seek to be part of the live sports and entertainment action. The Suites Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the food service and hospitality operations within the suite areas, ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless, high-quality experience from arrival to departure. Responsible for overseeing setup and breakdown procedures, training new team members, monitoring inventory, and ensuring health and safety standards, this position demands strong leadership, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to problem-solve dynamically.
The position pays between $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, making it a competitive role for part-time hospitality professionals. The schedule typically involves evening shifts during events at the arena, with flexibility required to accommodate nights and weekends. This job is ideal for those with a background in hospitality, particularly in high-volume dining environments, and who possess a solid knowledge of food and wine. While no college degree is required, the role calls for at least two years of relevant experience and candidates must be able to stand and walk for entire shifts with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Delaware North values its team members and offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both their personal and professional well-being. Benefits for all team members include weekly pay, employee discounts, flexible work schedules, and opportunities for training and development. Eligible employees can also access health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. This extensive support system reflects Delaware North's commitment to creating a positive, rewarding workplace where employees can grow and succeed.
Joining Delaware North as a Suites Supervisor means becoming part of a company dedicated to great times in great places, one that values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. It is a chance to build a rewarding career in hospitality within one of Detroit's most iconic entertainment venues, offering a dynamic work environment filled with excitement and opportunities for progression.
