Delaware North Sportservice is a prominent hospitality company specializing in delivering exceptional food and beverage services at major sports and entertainment venues. One of their most notable properties is TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, a facility that welcomes millions of visitors annually and hosts more than 200 events each year. Since acquiring the historic Boston Garden in 1975, Delaware North has remained dedicated to providing superior guest experiences through quality service and innovative offerings. TD Garden is the proud home of the Boston Bruins of the NHL and the Boston Celtics of the NBA, making it a central hub for sports fans and event attendees alike.
Delaware North operates TD Garden in a way that emphasizes excellence, collaboration, and a fast-paced environment. Their team-driven culture focuses on personal and professional growth, offering employees ample opportunity to thrive and build rewarding careers in hospitality. The company values diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all candidates regardless of background or identity.
The role being offered is for part-time Bussers at TD Garden, specifically within the Cross Insurance Boardroom, which features multiple full-service bars and all-inclusive food options such as carving stations, brick oven pizza, gourmet appetizers, and desserts. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining environment, thereby supporting the seamless delivery of exceptional guest service. This position requires excellent time management skills, the ability to remain flexible in a dynamic setting, and a commitment to upholding hospitality standards consistent with the venue's reputation.
Compensation for this tipped position is hourly at $15.10, exclusive of any additional tips earned during shifts. Flexible scheduling is an important benefit, with evening, weekend, holiday, and event shifts available to accommodate various availability. Delaware North also provides an extensive benefits package including weekly pay, employee discounts, and access to training and development resources to help team members grow.
In this role, you will start your shift by checking in with management to receive daily assignments and participate in pre-shift briefings. Your primary responsibilities include clearing tables of dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware during and after dining periods, resetting tables according to floor plans or management instructions, and helping to track inventory such as china, linens, and silverware. This is a physically active position requiring the ability to lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds, constant movement throughout the dining room, and navigating tight spaces and stairs.
Candidates should have at least one year of prior experience as a Busser or Runner in a similar dining environment characterized by high volume and fast-paced service. Reliable availability to work various shifts, including nights and holidays, is essential. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative setting, have a strong work ethic, and take pride in contributing to premium guest experiences. Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a storied company with over a century of hospitality expertise, and an opportunity to build a meaningful career in a world-class venue.
