The role of Guest Host (Full Time) is pivotal to the exceptional luxury experience that Perigold strives to provide. This position requires a highly personable individual who can engage guests as they enter, understand their needs, and connect them seamlessly with the relevant design and sales experts inside the showroom. The Guest Host acts as the frontline ambassador, not only creating a welcoming atmosphere but also ensuring the safety and security of the store by being attentive to any potential risks.
Reporting to the Assistant Store Manager, Guest Experience, and working closely with the global Asset Protection team, the Guest Host plays a crucial role in managing the guest flow and supporting the overall team. This is a fast-paced environment that requires diligence, teamwork, excellent communication skills, and a passion for luxury design. The guest host presence directly impacts the overall guest satisfaction and helps maintain Perigold's high standards for a clean, organized, and secure environment.
The position offers a base pay starting at $20 per hour, with additional quarterly bonuses reflecting performance. Job Requirements
- One plus year of customer experience in a retail or customer-facing setting
- Flexibility availability including mornings, nights, weekends, some holidays
- Excellent customer service skills including written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of Google Systems including email, Google Sheets, and other platforms
- Energetic and optimistic attitude
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to maintain close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of customer experience in retail or similar customer-facing settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Systems including email and Google Sheets
- Energetic and optimistic attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Warmly greet and engage guests at the main entrance
- Proactively understand customer needs and provide tailored guidance
- Seamlessly transition customers to Designers, Product Specialists, and Sales Associates
- Maintain a welcoming presence at the host post and answer initial questions
- Ensure the entrance and greeting areas are immaculate and organized
- Communicate regularly with sales and design teams to manage guest flow
- Identify and report potential safety concerns to leadership
- Respond quickly and calmly to safety issues involving guests or associates
- Assist with showroom upkeep to maintain a luxurious environment
