We are expanding our workforce with openings for Doormen, Concierges, and Porters to provide shift coverage at our various residential buildings located in Manhattan. This employment opportunity is ideal for individuals who are personable, detail-oriented, and committed to elevating residents' daily experiences. The positions come with competitive compensation ranging from $17 to $29 per hour, reflecting the level of service excellence expected at our luxury-managed properties.

As a Doorman or Concierge, your role will be critical in creating a welcoming and secure atmosphere for residents and their guests. Responsibilities include greeting and directing visitors, verifying and logging visitor details, professionally handling phone communications, and managing incoming and outgoing packages and deliveries. Monitoring lobby activities and maintaining detailed logs of visitor and contractor entries form an integral part of this role, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all building occupants.

Porters, on the other hand, play a vital role in the upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings. Their duties involve regular inspections to address debris and maintenance issues, promptly reporting any tenant concerns or building problems to management or superintendents, and assisting with handyman tasks as directed. This position demands a proactive approach to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of the building environment.

We seek applicants with strong interpersonal skills, as interactions with residents and building personnel are frequent and require excellent communication abilities. Prior experience in residential building management, especially within luxury settings, is highly valued, along with fluency in English. Candidates must be detail-focused, capable of multitasking, and exhibit a friendly demeanor to contribute to the positive atmosphere in our prestigious properties.

Job Duties

  • Meeting, greeting and directing residents and guests
  • verifying and recording visitor information
  • answering calls professionally and assisting callers with directions or instructions for the building
  • receiving and processing incoming and outgoing laundry, shipments and/or mail/packages
  • monitoring lobby traffic and alerting residents to arriving guests and deliveries
  • maintaining logbooks for visitors and contractors
  • responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of assigned building
  • reporting any problems to superintendent or management, including tenants concerns about condition of building
  • checking specific areas for debris, cleanliness, and maintenance
  • following established procedures set by management
