Job Description

Episcopal SeniorLife Communities is a respected organization dedicated to providing high-quality services across a wide spectrum of senior care needs. Their offerings range from skilled nursing and restorative care to housing, assisted living, and community-based wellness programs. With a firm commitment to meeting each individual's unique needs in a culturally competent manner, Episcopal SeniorLife Communities supports residents, family members, and loved ones through various stages and transitions in life. This commitment reflects their guiding mission to enrich and inspire life every day, creating a supportive, compassionate environment for seniors to thrive. The organization is known for upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism while fostering a community-oriented atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life.

The Waitstaff role at Episcopal SeniorLife Communities is a vital position within the dining and hospitality services department. This role involves performing table service for dining room and banquet/catering events with a strong emphasis on friendly, professional, and efficient service. The Waitstaff member is responsible not only for delivering food accurately and promptly but also for maintaining proper sanitation guidelines and ensuring the dining environment complements the overall positive experience of residents and guests. This position typically requires the individual to work Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2 pm, totaling 15 hours per week, and offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.00. Due to the nature of the community setting, the role may involve direct care or access to residents' property and belongings, necessitating a high degree of trustworthiness and respect for privacy.

Key duties include understanding menu items and preparation methods, conducting pre-service checklists to ensure readiness, accurately taking food orders, and delivering meals efficiently. The Waitstaff also follow up on customer comments or corrections to ensure satisfaction, clear soiled dishes, and reset tables. Occasionally, the role may involve delivering meals to residents' rooms or patio homes and attending resident association and food committee meetings to gather valuable feedback. Collaboration and communication are essential, as the Waitstaff attends all service staff meetings to discuss concerns or plans and reports directly to the Chef Manager or designee. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a passion for excellent customer service, strong organizational and communication skills, and an eagerness to contribute positively to a caring, community-focused environment.
