As a leader in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine, Grifols develops, produces, and markets innovative medicines, solutions, and services across more than 110 countries and regions. The company prides itself on a family-like culture and has experienced remarkable growth, more than tripling its workforce in the last decade. This growth offers significant career development opportunities for current and prospective employees. Grifols places a strong emphasis on the quality and safety of its plasma donation centers, ensuring that every donor receives excellent care and that all procedures meet stringent medical standards.
We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our plasma donation center team as a Center Medical Specialist. This position is ideal for nursing professionals who are looking to apply their clinical skills in a dynamic and supportive environment that directly improves the lives of donors and patients globally. The role is based in Shreveport, Louisiana, and offers competitive pay based on licensure and experience. In this position, you will be responsible for performing physical examinations, establishing medical histories, and assessing donor suitability. You will build lasting rapport with donors, ensuring their safety and satisfaction during the donation process. Responsibilities also include managing adverse events and injuries, providing donor education, and assisting with employee training programs such as the Hepatitis vaccine program. The role requires maintaining strict confidentiality and awareness of potential medical hazards, as well as using both independent judgment and adhering to detailed procedural guidelines.
At Grifols, we not only value the medical expertise of our staff but also their contributions to creating a positive donor experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K matching program up to 5%, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holiday pay, and eligibility for company bonus programs. Additionally, this role offers career growth opportunities and geographic mobility among our extensive network of over 300 donation centers in North America. The work environment is supportive and structured, ensuring that nursing professionals can perform their duties effectively while maintaining work-life balance, including no third shift schedules.
Joining Grifols means joining a company deeply committed to advancing healthcare through plasma donation and related medical services worldwide.
