This position involves delivering exceptional guest service by possessing comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage products, clearing and resetting tables promptly, and coordinating seamless service with colleagues and runners. Lounge Servers warmly greet guests, maintain table settings, describe menu options including daily specials, and ensure smooth communication between guests, kitchen, and management.

Job Duties

  • Have complete knowledge of food and beverage products and specifications
  • Clear and reset tables as quickly as possible
  • Greet guests warmly with a smile, making eye contact
  • Check for table setting completeness
  • Describe breakfast, lunch and dinner features as needed, including menu changes and daily specials
  • Oversee table maintenance, coordinate service at the table with runners
  • Work with coworkers in clearing and resetting tables
  • Operate as a member of a team, helping others and requesting help as needed
  • Perform other restaurant duties as requested by management
  • Keep all stations supplied with silverware, glassware, share plates, bread plates, placemats, condiments, sugar, coffee, tea, etc
  • Make sure that the guest's check is completed properly and presented promptly
  • Ensure that change or charge slip is returned to the guest in a timely manner
  • Communicate the needs of the guests to kitchen and management
  • Inform management of guests’ reactions and comments
  • Assist management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service
  • Control the amount of alcohol served, so that guests do not become intoxicated
  • Help promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers and guests
