Job Description

Alaska Airlines is a major American airline known for its exceptional customer service and extensive network connecting travelers across North America. The company has built a reputation for its commitment to premium service, hospitality, and a smooth travel experience. Headquartered in Seattle, Alaska Airlines serves millions of passengers annually, providing a wide range of services including premium lounges that cater to first-class passengers and elite members. The airline is dedicated to ensuring that each customer enjoys a high standard of comfort and service throughout their journey.

Alaska Airlines is currently seeking a Lounge Concierge for its Jackson, Mississippi location. This role is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about premium customer service and hospitality. The Lounge Concierge will be based at the premium Alaska Lounge within San Francisco International Airport (SFO), a key hub for the airline. This position offers a flexible contract, allowing employees to set their own schedules while playing a vital role in delivering the highest level of care and attention to the airline's most valued guests.

As a Lounge Concierge, you will be responsible for welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism. Your role will involve verifying lounge access, assisting travelers with inquiries related to their journeys, such as re-bookings and seat changes, and ensuring the lounge maintains an impeccable presentation. This position requires a high level of expertise on premium products and services, coupled with a solution-oriented mindset to resolve any potential issues efficiently. You will serve as an ambassador of Alaska Airlines’ brand, creating memorable experiences for first-class travelers, oneworld elite members, and lounge members.

The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to stand for extended periods, reflecting the face-to-face interaction and attentiveness required in a premier guest-facing environment. Flexibility is key, as the schedule includes early morning shifts for departures, late evening shifts for arrivals, and weekend or holiday assignments considering the lounge operates seven days a week. This variety ensures the concierge is present at critical times to provide seamless service.

Alaska Airlines offers a competitive compensation package for this position, with wages ranging from $22 to $30 per hour, translating to an approximate annual salary of $54,100. In addition to hourly wages, employees benefit from substantial perks, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, and paid training to enhance professional skills. The company fosters a supportive work environment that values profit sharing and travel privileges, which include opportunities to fly with Alaska Airlines and its oneworld airline partners. This position is perfect for customer service professionals looking to grow within the aviation industry while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of one of America’s leading airports and airlines.
