Job Description

Alaska Airlines is a leading airline company renowned for its commitment to exceptional customer service and premium travel experiences. As a major player in the aviation industry, Alaska Airlines serves millions of passengers annually, connecting various destinations with reliability and superior hospitality. The company prides itself on fostering a dynamic work environment that values professionalism, inclusivity, and employee growth. Situated in Centennial, Colorado, Alaska Airlines operates a strategic hub that supports its growing network and enhances its customer service capabilities. This hub is integral to the airline's operations and serves as a center for recruitment and development of skilled professionals in the aviation and customer service sectors.

We are currently seeking a Lounge Concierge to join our team in Centennial on a flexible contract basis. This role is specifically designed for individuals who excel in providing premium customer service and are passionate about delivering memorable experiences to high-profile guests. The compensation ranges from $22 to $30 per hour, approximately $54,100 annually, making it a competitive opportunity in the hospitality and aviation fields.

The Lounge Concierge will operate primarily at the Alaska Lounge located in San Francisco International Airport (SFO), one of the airline's flagship lounges. This role centers around delivering a warm, welcoming atmosphere to First Class passengers, oneworld elite members, and lounge members. Responsibilities encompass greeting guests with professionalism, verifying access credentials, and assisting with travel-related inquiries such as re-bookings and seat changes. The concierge will also be tasked with upholding the lounge's impeccable presentation and maintaining a calm, solution-oriented approach to any challenges that arise.

Candidates for this position should possess at least two years of experience in premium customer service settings, including but not limited to 4 or 5-star hotel concierge roles, premium airline lounges, or fine dining establishments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential due to the nature of the job environment. Additionally, successful applicants must pass all necessary airport and TSA background checks to comply with security regulations.

Work schedules for the Lounge Concierge position are highly flexible, covering early morning shifts to accommodate daytime departures, late-night shifts for evening arrivals, as well as weekend and holiday shifts since the lounge operates every day of the week. Alaska Airlines supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement savings, paid training programs, profit sharing, and travel privileges on both Alaska Airlines and its oneworld partners. This blend of competitive pay, benefits, and work environment makes the Lounge Concierge position a rewarding opportunity for professionals in the premium customer service sector.
