The role of Executive Lounge Attendant at JW Marriott Austin is pivotal for maintaining the high standards of service and ambiance expected by the hotel's distinguished clientele. This full-time position is centered on ensuring the successful setup, service, and cleanup of the Executive Lounge. The Executive Lounge serves as an exclusive space where guests experience elevated comfort and personalized service. As an Executive Lounge Attendant, the individual will be responsible for careful arrangement of tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks to create an inviting and visually appealing environment. The role involves professional service of food and beverages, attentive monitoring of the lounge to maintain cleanliness and sufficient stock, and anticipating guest needs with a proactive and friendly approach that exceeds their expectations.

In addition to carrying out setup and service duties, the Executive Lounge Attendant must be well-versed in all menu items, including content, preparation, and garnishes, to answer guest inquiries accurately and confidently. The position requires physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods and the ability to lift at least 10 pounds regularly. Candidates for this role should possess outstanding communication and listening skills, an outgoing personality, and a passion for customer service with a positive and team-oriented attitude. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to regularly lift at least 10 pounds
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Oversee the setup, service, and clean-up of the Executive Lounge
  • Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks in assigned areas correctly and accurately
  • Professionally serve food and beverages both tableside and from buffets
  • Monitor tables and buffets to ensure they remain clean, stocked, and visually appealing
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide exemplary hospitality to exceed expectations, while always maintaining professionalism and friendliness
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes
  • accurately answer guest questions
  • Perform all cleaning, opening, closing, and other duties as assigned
