Job Description
This job opportunity is available at a reputable hotel known for its commitment to quality service and guest satisfaction. The establishment prides itself on offering a superior food and beverage experience that aligns with hotel, franchise, and industry standards. As a restaurant and hospitality company, it combines a welcoming atmosphere with professional operational procedures to ensure guests receive exceptional service throughout their visit. The hotel maintains strict adherence to safety and quality regulations, further establishing its reputation as a trusted and reliable destination for dining and hospitality services.
The role being offered is essential within the Food and Beverage Department, demanding a highly adaptable and guest-focused professional. This position requires the ability to manage a flexible working schedule, which includes availability on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of hospitality operations. The primary responsibility is to execute and adhere to all daily operational procedures as outlined by the hotel, Shaner management, and franchise guidelines, emphasizing quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. The position entails ensuring all food and beverages comply with the highest standards of safety and quality, which is critical in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Candidates will be expected to maintain and abide by departmental standards and safe working conditions, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace. A significant aspect of the job includes effectively communicating with team members across different departments—general management, other department managers, supervisors, and staff—to ensure smooth daily operations and resolve any guest-related issues promptly and professionally. This role also requires handling guest concerns, providing courteous service, and maintaining stock and cleanliness at the food and beverage outlets. The incumbent must be proficient in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as light meals while maintaining operational efficiency and high service quality per hotel specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a restaurant or food and beverage setting and must meet state age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. Educationally, a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, with some college education preferred. Additional qualifications, such as ServSafe certification, food safety training, and alcohol awareness training (like TIPS), are advantageous and enhance the candidate's suitability for the role. Bilingual skills, especially in English and Spanish, and knowledge of local attractions relevant to hotel clientele are considered valuable assets that contribute positively to guest interaction and service excellence.
This position offers the opportunity to be part of a renowned hospitality team where attention to detail, guest satisfaction, and safety are prioritized. It caters to individuals who thrive in flexible, fast-paced environments and are eager to advance their careers in the food and beverage industry within a supportive, structured, and guest-oriented hotel setting.
