Job Description
Crestline Hotels & Resorts, a well-established leisure-driven hotel chain, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bartender to join their team at a prime location in Tuscaloosa. Known for its commitment to top-notch hospitality and guest satisfaction, Crestline provides an engaging work environment with a focus on quality service and community engagement. The hotel thrives during Alabama football season and other major events, requiring staff who can perform efficiently under pressure and maintain high service standards. The position is part-time, primarily focused on weekends, aligning with the high-traffic game days when the hotel buzzes with guests and sports enthusiasts. This role offers competitive compensation that is higher than most bartending positions, with employees retaining all their tips, emphasizing both reward and recognition for exceptional service.
The Lounge Bartender at Crestline Hotels & Resorts will be responsible for taking orders, preparing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as light meals, to guests courteously and efficiently, following the hotel's specifications. This position demands a fast-paced, energetic individual who thrives in a social atmosphere, particularly during football season when excitement and guest numbers swell. The bartender will maintain the cleanliness and organization of their work area and equipment, manage stock and supplies, and strictly adhere to state liquor laws—ensuring no service to minors or intoxicated persons. Acquaintance with point-of-sale systems, cash handling procedures, and completing closing reports is vital.
The successful candidate will be the face of the hotel during peak times, requiring excellent interpersonal skills to engage guests positively and effectively promote menu items through suggestive and up-selling techniques. The role also offers a clear potential career path, with opportunities to advance to positions such as Food and Beverage Supervisor, Food and Beverage Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Operations, General Manager, or Vice President of Food & Beverage. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, able to handle high volumes with professionalism, and eager for growth within a stable hotel company.
Crestline Hotels & Resorts values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, ensuring all qualified applicants receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. If you have the energy to pour fast, smile big, and thrive on the excitement of a football day crowd, Crestline invites you to apply and become part of their lively team. Join Crestline in Tuscaloosa for a rewarding bartending position that is as much about creating memorable guest experiences as it is about professional growth and enjoyment.
