The Lounge Bartender role at Crestline Hotels & Resorts is a dynamic and engaging position designed for individuals who have a passion for hospitality and customer service. Starting at $15.00 per hour plus tips, the role entails taking orders and preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as serving light meals to guests with courteous and efficient service aligned with the hotel's operational standards. The bartender will also be responsible for maintaining stock levels and cleanliness of the lounge area and equipment, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and state liquor laws. This position offers potential career growth in food and beverage management, with clear pathways from F&B supervisor up to VP of Food & Beverage. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of drink recipes, beverage service standards, and possess excellent communication skills to engage guests effectively. Additionally, the role requires proficiency with POS and property management systems for order processing and reporting. Employees in this position are expected to uphold all cash handling policies, maintain accurate financial management of assigned funds, and contribute to an organized, sanitary environment in the outlet. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum age of 21 years to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Prior experience as a server or barback is preferred but not mandatory
  • Good understanding of the English language
  • Certification in liquor, wine, and food service training
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program
  • Certification in CPR
  • Familiarity with property management systems and point of sales systems
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organize work areas
  • Strict adherence to state liquor laws and cash handling procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • 1-year experience as a server or barback preferred but not required
  • Must have good understanding of the English language
  • Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards
  • Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service
  • Certification in an alcohol awareness program
  • Certification in CPR
  • Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system
  • Previous guest/customer relations training
  • Outgoing individual with ability to engage guests and positive energy
  • Knowledgeable about the local area

Job Duties

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving
  • Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies
  • Always keep bank secure
  • Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems
  • Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/up-selling techniques
  • Input orders into system and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of tables, service areas and outlet itself
  • Present guest checks and process payments through the Bartender/Cashier
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures
  • Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart
  • Collect and report tips at the end of assigned shift
  • Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and Hotel requirements
  • Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system
  • Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager
