Job Description
Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, known for its extensive portfolio of hotels and resorts worldwide. Among its prestigious brands is W Hotels, a vibrant and innovative luxury lifestyle brand that aims to ignite curiosity and expand the worlds of its guests. W Hotels is committed to delivering unique and memorable experiences through its exceptional service and contemporary environments that break traditional hotel norms. At Marriott and W Hotels, the focus is not only on providing accommodation but on creating meaningful experiences that resonate with guests on a personal level. The company embraces diversity and is dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, celebrating the unique backgrounds and talents of its associates while fostering an inclusive workplace environment.
The Guest Service Support Expert role at W Hotels is a dynamic and vital position within the food and beverage operations team. This role goes beyond simple tasks to enhance the overall guest experience by supporting front-of-house operations and ensuring seamless service delivery. The expert acts as the backbone of food and beverage services by setting tables, assisting kitchen staff when necessary, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and order in work areas. These responsibilities contribute directly to smooth transactions and elevate guests' interaction with the brand.
Essential to success in this role is a commitment to safety, adherence to company policies, and upholding the highest quality standards. The position requires physical stamina, as individuals will be on their feet for extended periods, walking or standing on surfaces that may be uneven or slippery. They must also handle physical tasks such as moving, lifting, and carrying items up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance. The role demands attention to detail, physical agility, and a proactive approach to ensure operations run efficiently and guests receive excellent service.
This position is ideal for individuals seeking to join the vibrant and innovative culture of W Hotels without necessarily having prior supervisory experience. High school education or equivalent is preferred, and while previous experience in food and beverage environments is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Marriott International supports growth and development, making this an excellent opportunity for those starting their careers in hospitality or seeking to expand their experience in a renowned global hotel brand.
Employees at Marriott International enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) plans, stock purchase plans, discounts across Marriott properties, and various health, vision, and dental insurance options. Additional perks such as commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, childcare discounts, paid parental leave, and educational assistance contribute to a supportive and rewarding work environment. For employees located in Washington, the company provides paid sick leave accrual and a minimum of seven holidays annually, in compliance with local labor laws.
Joining W Hotels means becoming part of a team that values originality, innovation, and the pursuit of what is possible. The culture encourages associates to bring their authentic selves to work, fostering a community where they can do their best work, begin their purpose, belong to a global network, and become the best version of themselves. This role offers not just a job, but a chance to build a meaningful career in hospitality within an inspiring and supportive setting.
