This exciting opportunity is with Shaner Hotels at their beautiful Le Meridien property, a Marriott-branded hotel located in the suburban area of Dunwoody, Georgia. Situated just steps away from the bustling Perimeter Mall, this boutique hotel is designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers. Guests can enjoy exceptional amenities including the hotel’s on-site dining at Portico Global Cuisine, a state-of-the-art fitness center, relaxing poolside cabanas, and over 10,000 square feet of dynamic meeting and event spaces.

The role available is for a Food and Beverage team member responsible for key operational functions within the hotel’s food and beverage department. This position requires flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and operational compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all daily operational procedures are followed meticulously, maintaining food and beverage safety and quality in line with strict hotel and franchise specifications. You will also be tasked with upholding department standards for operations and safe working conditions, ensuring effective communication with the General Manager, department managers, supervisors, and team members. Your role will be pivotal in addressing any guest-related issues pertaining to the food and beverage department, enhancing the overall guest experience.

Additionally, the position involves direct guest interaction where you will take orders and prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as light meals, all delivered courteously and efficiently to meet hotel standards. Attention to cleanliness and maintenance of stock, supplies, outlets, and equipment is essential to ensure ongoing quality and safety compliance. Job Requirements

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
  • Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant food and beverage field
  • Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests management and co-workers to their understanding
  • High school graduate or equivalent some college preferred
  • ServSafe and or food safety training a plus
  • Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
  • Ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant food and beverage field
  • Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests management and co-workers to their understanding
  • High school graduate or equivalent some college preferred
  • ServSafe and or food safety training a plus
  • Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
  • Ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Bilingual English Spanish a plus
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele

Job Duties

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
  • Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
  • Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel Shaner and Franchise specifications
  • Maintains and abides by standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department
  • Responsible for responding and handling guest related issues pertaining to the department
  • Ensures communication with General Manager all other Department Managers Supervisors and Staff
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Take orders prepare and serve alcoholic non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications
  • Maintain stock supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment
