We are currently hiring a Part-Time Barback to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the bar, supporting the bartenders, and elevating the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will be extremely outgoing, professional, and possess a charismatic personality to effortlessly handle a wide variety of guests in a fast-paced environment. The position requires someone who can maintain cleanliness, manage supplies efficiently, prepare garnishes, limit wastage, and adhere strictly to all hygiene and safety regulations. With a focus on teamwork and service excellence, the barback will assist bartenders with their duties, ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently during service hours.

The barback is expected to play an essential role in maintaining the ambience and operational standards of Louie's by ensuring all bar areas, including the lounge, are spotless and well-stocked. Preparing and slicing garnishes, setting and resetting tables, and managing dirty dishes and sanitation are all key elements of the daily workflow. This role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a proactive approach to anticipating guests’ and team members’ needs. Physical stamina is also important, as the position requires standing and walking for long periods, handling repetitive tasks, and occasionally lifting or pushing heavy items.

The successful candidate will thrive in fast-paced settings where high standards of quality and cleanliness are non-negotiable. Communication skills, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor are vital to delivering attentive, courteous service that supports a positive and high-energy atmosphere. Experience in hospitality or a similar service role is highly valued, but strong motivation and a willingness to learn are equally important. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a similar role or within the hospitality or service industry is a plus
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to constantly stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to constantly handle (grasping, holding), and finely manipulate, repetitive motion of hands and feet
  • Ability to frequently reach over shoulder, overhead, and outward
  • Ability to occasionally kneel, squat, twist and bend
  • Ability to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role or within the hospitality or service industry is a plus
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
  • Communicates clearly and delivers friendly, attentive service to guests and team members
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and anticipates guest and team needs
  • Interact professionally and courteously with guests and team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Works effectively as part of a team to support a positive, high-energy atmosphere
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
  • Maintains professionalism and punctuality
  • Upholds neat, clean, and professional grooming standards

Job Duties

  • Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available
  • Slice and prepare garnishes
  • Control and limit wastage
  • Maintain bar and lounge cleanliness
  • Follow all rotation procedures to ensure freshness and quality
  • Assist with all reasonable bartender duties as required
  • Adhere to basic hygiene procedures and grooming standards
