Job Description

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC), headquartered in Wallingford, Connecticut, is a distinguished quasi-public agency of the State of Connecticut, established in 1972. The organization plays a vital role in providing responsible gaming entertainment to the public while supporting important state programs through the generation of over $12 billion in revenue. CLC operates with a strong emphasis on integrity, responsible gambling, and maintaining public trust, making it a reputable institution that serves both the interests of the state and the community. As a leader in state-sponsored lottery gaming, the corporation ensures that all operations adhere to strict regulatory and security standards, reflecting its commitment to transparency and ethical conduct.

CLC is presently seeking dynamic, detail-oriented professionals for the role of Lottery Drawing Associate & On-Air Host, offered as a per diem position. This unique role seamlessly combines the excitement of on-camera presentation with the critical responsibilities of supporting lottery drawing operations behind the scenes. It is a role essential to the execution of fair, accurate, and secure official Connecticut Lottery drawings. Candidates who take on this position will enjoy an engaging career that blends live public communication with operational precision and compliance management.

The Lottery Drawing Associate & On-Air Host will rotate consistently between two main assignments: serving as the charismatic face of live lottery drawings during broadcasts and providing crucial operational support for drawing execution. This per diem role demands professionalism and enthusiasm on camera, along with meticulous attention to detail for the operational processes that underpin the integrity of each drawing event. The successful candidate will assist with everything from conducting live lottery drawings, reading approved scripts with accuracy and clarity, to managing pre- and post-drawing documentation and equipment checks. This multifaceted position demands comfort in front of a camera, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a secure, compliance-driven environment.

Participants in this role are expected to perform live lottery draws for daily games, appearing to millions of viewers with confidence and professionalism. The role also includes monitoring compliance with operational procedures and security protocols during every draw. Employees must have the capability to identify and report any irregularities or deviations in adherence to Connecticut Lottery policies, ensuring the maintenance of public trust. Additionally, the position requires participation in rehearsals, training sessions, and documentation processes such as draw ball integrity verification, which all contribute to the smooth operation and compliance of the lottery drawing process.

With a schedule that encompasses midday, evening, weekend, holiday, and weather-related shifts, the role requires flexibility and reliability. The assignments are held at the Connecticut Lottery Corporation studio in Wallingford and are critical to the uninterrupted function of lottery operations, which occur twice daily, every day of the year. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a respected public institution that blends performance, operational expertise, and regulatory compliance in a high-visibility role that supports the state’s programs and communities.
