Job Description
AutoSavvy is the nation's largest and fastest-growing retailer of branded title vehicles, boasting over 20 locations across 9 states and completing more than 100,000 vehicle sales. Established as a prominent player in the automotive industry, AutoSavvy prides itself on a strong company culture that emphasizes career growth and internal promotions. The company has earned recognition on the Inc. 5000 list four years consecutively, signaling its rapid expansion and strong market presence. AutoSavvy offers a dynamic workplace environment where passion for cars, dedication to customer satisfaction, and team collaboration are highly valued. The business model revolves around simplifying vehicle purchasing processes and providing a wide selection of vehicles to customers seeking quality pre-owned cars. Employees at AutoSavvy benefit from a comprehensive training system designed to ensure both professional and personal growth in the automotive retail space.
The Lot Technician / Lot Porter role at AutoSavvy is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who enjoy staying active, working outdoors, and have an affinity for vehicles. This full-time position pays a starting wage of $17.00 per hour and follows a structured 5-day work week schedule from Monday to Saturday, including one weekday off. The role is essential in supporting the sales team by managing vehicle logistics on the lot, ensuring that cars are clean, ready, and perfectly presented for customers. Responsibilities include moving and staging vehicles between lots and display areas, assisting with vehicle readiness, cleaning and detailing cars for sale and delivery, and inspecting vehicles to meet presentation standards. The Lot Technician is also responsible for fueling vehicles, maintaining lot organization, verifying window stickers and inventory accuracy, securing vehicles and keys at closing, and assisting with incoming deliveries and transfers between locations.
To be successful in this role, candidates need to have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and should ideally have the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles. Comfort with working outdoors in all weather conditions, strong attention to detail, and organization skills are also crucial. The position demands reliability, self-motivation, and a team-oriented attitude, alongside basic computer and technology skills. While not a requirement, experience in related roles such as lot attendant, porter, car wash or detailing, valet or delivery driver, and automotive dealership experience are viewed as advantages.
This role offers more than just a job; it presents a career launchpad in the automotive industry. Beyond competitive compensation, AutoSavvy provides extensive employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, employer-paid life insurance, and a Health Savings Account (HSA) match. Employees also have access to a free Employee Assistance Program, pet insurance, gym discounts, an employee vehicle purchase program, a volunteer paid time off program, and employer matching contributions for retirement savings. The company places significant emphasis on maintaining a safe and supportive work environment, including physical demands such as standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent bending and stooping, and working outdoors across different weather conditions.
AutoSavvy’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is unwavering, with equal employment opportunities extended to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local laws. Ultimately, candidates joining AutoSavvy can expect a fulfilling career path within a respected national company that values hard work, integrity, and employee welfare. The Lot Technician role serves as a vital facet of the company’s operations and offers candidates an engaging work environment with room for career advancement and skill development.
