The role of Service Valet/Porter at Larry H Miller Automotive Group offers individuals the unique opportunity to impact the customer experience positively while supporting the operational flow of the dealership. This pivotal position acts as the initial point of contact for arriving service customers and plays a crucial role in facilitating an efficient and pleasant service process. The responsibilities include greeting customers warmly and promptly, obtaining vehicle information directly at the vehicle, and assisting Service Advisors by maintaining organization within the service drive.
Service Valets/Porters are responsible for safely and securely moving customers' vehicles from the service drive to the shop, adhering strictly to departmental safeguard procedures, especially concerning key retention. Team collaboration is highly valued, and employees are expected to promote effective working relationships across dealership departments. Additionally, the role involves following dealership-specific procedures for vehicle delivery that contribute to high customer satisfaction scores and encourage return visits.
Physical stamina is important in this position, as it requires the ability to work outdoors and stand for extended periods. Job Duties
- Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain vehicle information at the customer's vehicle when possible
- Assist the Service Advisor in helping customers while maintaining organization in the service drive
- Move the customers vehicle following the greeting process as outlined by management in a safe and secure manner
- Retain keys according to departmental safeguard procedures
- Actively promote effective working relationships with associates and departments in the dealership
- Follow dealership specific procedures for active vehicle delivery of the customers vehicle resulting in return visits and admirable (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index
- Readily assist fellow dealership personnel in completing the work necessary to ensure full functioning of the dealership
- Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time
