Their benefits package includes competitive pay, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. More than just a job, VVG offers a career trajectory with excellent training and advancement opportunities.
The Lot Porter role at VVG is crucial in maintaining the dealership's operational efficiency and customer appeal. The primary focus of this position is to manage and oversee all vehicles in the dealership’s parking lot, ensuring the fleet maintains a clean, organized, and marketable appearance. The Lot Porter plays a key role in facilitating vehicle movement, coordinating with various departments including sales and service, and maintaining a safe and tidy lot environment. Additionally, the Lot Porter is responsible for securely managing truck keys and performing inventory checks, including starting and running vehicles on a weekly basis.
Working at VVG as a Lot Porter is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and a passion for helping the company provide top-tier service to customers. The position requires a commercial driver license (Class B) and driving experience, reflecting the importance of safe vehicle handling within the dealership’s daily operations. Physical stamina is also necessary, as this role involves lifting weights up to 50 pounds and navigating the lot to ensure cleanliness and vehicle readiness.
Beyond responsibilities, the Lot Porter is an essential liaison between sales and service departments, helping coordinate activities and ensuring seamless communication. This position offers a full-time schedule with an hourly wage ranging from $25 to $30 depending on experience and qualifications. VVG emphasizes a family-like culture and offers perks including paid vacation, sick leave, employer-paid life insurance, and opportunities to participate in company events and exclusive employee discounts. If you are someone ready to take on a rewarding challenge and join a respected leader in the commercial truck dealership industry, Velocity Vehicle Group provides a vibrant workplace with strong values and ample room for personal and professional growth.
