Campers Inn RV is the Nation's Largest Family-Operated RV Dealership, founded in 1966 by Art and Fran Hirsch. With nearly 50 locations across over 20 states, the company stands as a leading force in the RV industry, deeply rooted in family values, fairness, respect, and genuine care for both employees and customers. This family-focused dealership has grown significantly over decades by embracing innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement, all while being dedicated to sustainability. Recognized nationally, Campers Inn RV has been named a Top 50 RV Dealership in the U.S. consistently since 2010 and honored as one of the Top 5 Blue Ribbon RV Dealerships by RVBusiness. The company prides itself on being more than just a dealership; it is a team driven by purpose and a commitment to helping people enjoy the RV lifestyle and find their perfect 'AWAY.' The vision of Campers Inn RV is to be the RVer's Trusted Resource for employees, customers, and partners alike, leading the industry through forward-thinking ideas and positive change.
The Lot Porter/Forklift Driver role at Campers Inn RV is an essential position that offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the dealership's operations and customer experience. Aimed at maintaining the appearance and functionality of the RV lots, this role involves tasks such as driving and towing RVs to service bays, stores, gas stations, and repair facilities. Additionally, depending on the location, forklift operation is a key responsibility, facilitating the movement of RVs and related materials safely and efficiently.
This position is particularly important for upholding dealership standards by keeping the new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving RVs according to the general manager's directions, and adhering to dealership display standards. Daily inspections of showroom and service entrance doors, along with routine washing and general lot maintenance, form part of the job scope to ensure that RV units remain in 'sale-ready' condition. The role also involves assisting with pre-delivery inspections and refueling vehicles, reflecting a hands-on approach to supporting the sales and service teams.
Campers Inn RV emphasizes safety, designating this as a safety-sensitive position that requires attention to detail, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to all safety protocols. Employees in this role benefit from ongoing career development opportunities including specialized job training, certifications, professional development assistance, and support for continuing education.
Full-time employees are offered a comprehensive health and welfare plan, including major medical, dental, and vision insurance, various life insurance options, an Employee Assistance Program, paid time off, and a qualified retirement plan with employer match. Compensation is fair and competitive, reflecting the company's commitment to valuing employee contributions and encouraging career growth in a supportive and inclusive environment.
By joining Campers Inn RV as a Lot Porter/Forklift Driver, individuals become part of a company that values integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. It provides a unique workplace culture that nurtures diversity, inclusivity, and respect, making it an ideal career choice for those passionate about the RV industry and dedicated to providing excellent service while helping customers enjoy the freedom of the RV lifestyle.
