The role of Lot Porter/Forklift Driver at Campers Inn RV is integral to maintaining the operational efficiency and presentation of the dealership's RV lots. This position is responsible for driving and towing recreational vehicles, ensuring their safe transport to various locations such as service bays, repair shops, and fuel stations. Depending on the location, operating a forklift may also be a key responsibility, highlighting the flexibility and skill required for this role. The Lot Porter/Forklift Driver plays a critical part in upholding the company's commitment to customer satisfaction by keeping the RV inventory in immaculate and sale-ready condition. Duties include maintaining the neatness and orderliness of both new and used vehicle lots, performing daily inspections and cleaning tasks, assisting with pre-delivery inspections, and managing vehicle fueling.
This is a safety-sensitive position that demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates must be able to handle various physical tasks including climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling, with the capability to lift at least 50 pounds. The role requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and prior experience with forklifts or certification is preferred. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Minimum of one year detailing experience preferred
- Experience in RV or automotive dealership environment preferred
- Forklift experience or certification preferred
- Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Pride of workmanship and follow-through
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Ability to drive a tractor and other towing vehicles
- Ability to navigate risks associated with working around machines, tools, and RVs
- Ability to move RVs of various sizes as needed

- Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Transport RVs to and from service bays, stores, gas stations, repair facilities, and locations
- Keep new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving RVs as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
- Make a daily inspection of showroom and service entrance doors and wash as necessary
- Keep units in a sale-ready condition
- Maintain dealership premises as directed by supervisor or manager
- Assist with pre-delivery inspections
- Fill vehicles with gas
