Currently, Camping World is seeking a Lot Porter to join their growing team. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $14.27 to $27.27 per hour, depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, and certifications. The Lot Porter position is integral to the smooth operation of the dealership’s lot and inventory management. This role requires driving and moving recreational vehicle units promptly and safely around the lot to optimize display and customer access. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the lot by conducting regular washes, sweeping, trash removal, and keeping all areas neat. The Lot Porter ensures that window pricing is correctly installed and removed on RVs as instructed, writes work orders for units that require attention, and keeps track of any issues to ensure every unit is in proper working order for customers. Physical inventory management is part of the job, as is securing units against adverse weather conditions.

Key to this role is safety and professionalism, requiring the Lot Porter to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment for customers and team members alike. The role involves operating yard tractors, forklifts, and driving RVs, in addition to performing minor repairs and troubleshooting problems with units. Candidates should have experience working with RV slide-outs and generators, and the ability to lift and move moderate weights with assistance.

This is a hands-on position that demands physical stamina, including prolonged standing, stooping, crawling, bending, and the willingness to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, and dust. The ability to work safely around electrical and welding equipment hazards is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining the professional image and smooth operations of the dealership’s outdoor lot.
