Job Description

Camping World is a leading retailer in the recreational vehicle industry, specializing in providing high-quality RVs, camping gear, and accessories to outdoor enthusiasts across the United States. Known for its expansive network of stores and exceptional customer service, Camping World prides itself on catering to the needs of its customers who seek adventure and the great outdoors. They offer a variety of products and services that enhance the RV lifestyle, from sales and maintenance to roadside assistance and travel planning. The company is committed to fostering a supportive work environment and investing in employee growth and development. They emphasize diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity for all candidates and employees.

The Lot Porter position at Camping World plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and appearance of the vehicle lot. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining clean and safe working conditions. The Lot Porter is responsible for the timely movement and parking of RV units, ensuring that all vehicles are properly prepared and displayed for customers, as well as maintaining inventory and lot cleanliness. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14.27 to $27.27 depending on experience and qualifications. It is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team dedicated to first-class service and customer satisfaction.

As part of the service team, the Lot Porter will be tasked with multiple responsibilities such as moving RVs safely around the lot using yard tractors or forklifts, conducting regular lot washes, installing and removing window price tags according to company instructions, and ensuring all vehicles have necessary components like slide-outs and awnings properly positioned. The role demands a hands-on approach where physical tasks like sweeping the lot, picking up trash, and performing basic repairs are also integral to success. One of the key focuses is to keep the inventory organized and secure from weather damage while maintaining thorough records such as written work orders to track any issues.

Camping World offers full-time and part-time employment options with comprehensive benefits for full-time employees including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Part-time associates have access to dental and vision coverage. Additional perks include paid time off, 401(k) retirement plans, an employee assistance program, and tuition reimbursement opportunities for eligible employees. This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs with assistive devices and work in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, and noise. A valid driver's license is required along with experience operating RVs and related equipment. If you are someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where your efforts directly impact customer satisfaction and company presentation, this role at Camping World could be an excellent fit.
