Job Description
Camping World is a leading retailer specializing in recreational vehicles (RVs), camping gear, and outdoor accessories, dedicated to supporting and enhancing outdoor lifestyles. As a prominent player in the outdoor recreation and RV industry, Camping World provides customers with the products and services they need to enjoy their adventures to the fullest. With a commitment to first-class customer service and a welcoming team environment, the company emphasizes quality, safety, and the satisfaction of its customers.
As part of their continuous growth, Camping World is seeking a Lot Porter to join their dynamic service team. This role is essential to maintaining the smooth operation and presentation of the dealership lot by ensuring the proper handling and maintenance of the RV units. The Lot Porter will be responsible for moving and parking RVs efficiently, assisting with the upkeep of the lot's cleanliness, and managing physical inventories. This role requires a candidate who can work proactively and maintain attention to detail while supporting other team members and ensuring a positive customer experience.
The Lot Porter will also play a key role in the overall appearance and safety of the dealership lot by managing various physical tasks such as cleaning, monitoring equipment, securing RV units from the elements, and assisting in operational aspects like writing work orders and tracking maintenance issues. Familiarity with towing, driving RVs, operating forklifts and yard tractors, along with some mechanical know-how, will help the successful candidate thrive in this position.
Candidates can expect to work in a hands-on, physical role that includes standing, bending, and working in diverse environmental conditions, ranging from heat and humidity to cold and noise. Safety is a priority, especially since the role involves exposure to electrical and welding equipment hazards.
The position offers an hourly wage range between $15.76 and $30.14, which accounts for factors such as experience, skill set, training, and certifications. Camping World also offers a range of benefits including paid time off, 401(k) plans, an employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, and paid parental leave for eligible employees. Full-time associates enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, while part-time associates have access to dental and vision options. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy outdoor work environments and seek to be part of a reputable team dedicated to delivering exceptional service in the RV and outdoor lifestyle sector.
Camping World prides itself on being an equal employment opportunity employer, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under applicable laws. Candidates looking to contribute to a vibrant and supportive corporate culture are encouraged to apply and become part of this exciting company.
