Job Description

Campers Inn RV is the nation's largest family-operated RV dealership, founded in 1966 by Art and Fran Hirsch. With nearly 50 locations across more than 20 states, Campers Inn RV has built a reputation as a trusted leader in the RV industry. Rooted in family values, the company prides itself on treating both employees and customers with fairness, respect, and genuine care. Known for its commitment to integrity, teamwork, continuous improvement, and sustainability, Campers Inn RV has consistently been recognized for excellence, including being named a Top 50 RV Dealership in the U.S. every year since 2010 and earning accolades as one of the Top 5 Blue Ribbon RV Dealerships by RVBusiness.

As a company, Campers Inn RV strives to be more than just a dealership—it is a community focused on helping people embrace the RV lifestyle and discover their perfect away from home. The organization’s forward-thinking approach drives innovation and positive change as it continues to expand nationally and prepare for future global growth. Employees at Campers Inn RV benefit from meaningful career development opportunities, specialized job training, and supportive environments that encourage professional growth and success.

The role of Lot Porter/Forklift Driver at Campers Inn RV is critical to maintaining the organization’s high standards and customer satisfaction. This position involves a combination of driving and towing RVs, operating forklifts as applicable depending on location, and ensuring the appearance and organization of the RV lots are consistently maintained. Being a safety-sensitive role, the Lot Porter/Forklift Driver helps transport RVs between service bays, stores, gas stations, repair facilities, and various dealership locations. The individual in this role plays an integral part in keeping both new and used vehicle lots neat, orderly, and in top condition to align with dealership display standards.

Beyond driving duties, this position requires daily inspections and maintenance of showroom and service entrance doors, as well as washing and upkeep to keep the premises inviting. The Lot Porter/Forklift Driver also assists with pre-delivery inspections and ensures all vehicles are “sale-ready,” including refueling RVs as needed. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, multi-tasking abilities, and pride in workmanship to support the dealership’s quality presentation and customer experience.

Campers Inn RV offers full-time employees (working 30+ hours a week) a comprehensive health and welfare plan that includes major medical insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance (basic, supplemental, spouse, and child), an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid time off, and a qualified retirement plan with employer match (401k). Competitive compensation and ongoing professional development create a compelling environment for individuals seeking to build a career in the RV industry. By joining Campers Inn RV, employees become part of a dynamic team where their contributions matter, their career paths are supported, and they help shape the future of RV retail and service.
