Job Description
Price Family Dealerships is a reputable family-owned automotive dealership committed to promoting a culture of professionalism and integrity at the highest level. With a focus on fostering long-term success for both associates and customers, the company prides itself on hiring the best staff and providing extensive training, competitive compensation, and significant career growth opportunities. The dealership operates collaboratively across various store locations to ensure customers receive the right vehicle at a competitive price, emphasizing both customer satisfaction and employee development.
As an integral part of the automotive retail industry, Price Family Dealerships values teamwork and dedication to maintaining an attractive and efficient sales environment. The dealership understands that its success is deeply linked to the success and well-being of its employees, and it strives to create a workplace where professionalism and integrity guide every interaction.
The Lot Porter position at Price Family Dealerships plays a vital role in supporting the Sales and Service Departments by maintaining the new and used car lots and facilitating the smooth movement of vehicles across the dealership. This full-time, non-exempt role, based in Marin County, California, offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on experience. The work schedule predominantly covers Monday to Friday, with some weekend and holiday shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of the dealership's operations.
The Lot Porter is responsible for performing non-mechanical maintenance tasks, moving vehicles safely, and assisting with various operational duties as assigned by the manager. By ensuring that the vehicle lots are well organized, clean, and visually appealing, the Lot Porter helps to create an inviting atmosphere for potential buyers. This position requires the physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy items, as well as the stamina to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. The role also demands a high level of attention to detail when adding and maintaining key tags and window stickers on lot vehicles to facilitate inventory management and sales processes.
Additionally, the Lot Porter supports dealership operations by driving vehicles to other dealerships for dealer swaps, transporting vehicles to service or inventory departments, and occasionally providing customer pick-up or delivery services using dealership vehicles. The role's safety and efficiency standards are paramount, as the Lot Porter must operate within dealership policies and comply with all safety regulations.
Overall, the Lot Porter position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced automotive environment, have a strong work ethic, and value teamwork and customer service. Price Family Dealerships offers a structured yet supportive work atmosphere, encouraging employees to grow professionally while contributing to the organization’s success and upholding its commitment to integrity and professionalism.
