As part of the Bowers Automotive family, the dealership benefits from a network of resources and support designed to help team members succeed and grow within the automotive industry. This dynamic and customer-focused environment is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding career with a company that values dedication, teamwork, and continuous development.

The Porter role at Toyota of Cleveland is a vital position that ensures smooth operational flow and enhances the customer experience. This full-time position focuses on vehicle movement, lot organization, and customer assistance, making it essential to the daily functions of the dealership. Porters are responsible for moving vehicles efficiently within the dealership to maintain traffic flow, keeping the vehicle lots clean and orderly, and assisting customers by directing them to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, they help maintain dealership cleanliness by clearing sidewalks and driveways of debris, thus contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

In this role, candidates will also assist with routine maintenance tasks such as replenishing vehicle fluids and other minor services, enhancing the overall appearance and readiness of vehicles on the lot. Porters are tasked with driving vehicles to and from service lanes, stalls, and parking areas as needed, ensuring seamless vehicle transitions throughout the day. A significant component of the job involves key management, including making key tags for vehicles to support efficient tracking and accessibility. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to follow company policies and procedures strictly.

Toyota of Cleveland emphasizes safety and accountability, requiring all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols and report any accidents immediately to management. The ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks, motor vehicle records (MVR), drug tests, and verification of a valid driver’s license, is mandatory for prospective employees.

The dealership fosters a team-based, cooperative workplace culture where comprehensive training, competitive compensation, and robust benefits are standard. Working full-time with afternoon closing shifts and mandatory Saturday availability, Porters are essential to the seamless operation and excellent customer experience that Toyota of Cleveland prides itself on. Joining the team means embarking on a career path with ample opportunity for professional growth supported by strong mentorship and development initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the automotive industry and committed to delivering superior service in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
