Job Description
Hendrick Acura, located at 6824 E. Independence Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28227, is part of the Hendrick Automotive Group, one of the largest and most respected auto dealerships in the United States. Known for its strong commitment to customer satisfaction and community involvement, Hendrick Acura specializes in providing high-quality new and used Acura vehicles, superior service options, and a friendly, professional buying experience. The dealership maintains a welcoming atmosphere and demonstrates a strong dedication to its core values including servant leadership, teamwork through trust and respect, integrity, customer enthusiasm, passion for winning, accountability at all levels, and continuous improvement. These values guide every aspect of the business, from vehicle sales to after-sale service and team member engagement. Hendrick Acura prides itself on developing and supporting a team culture that empowers employees to exceed customer expectations while fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment.
The Lot Attendant role at Hendrick Acura is a vital entry-level position that involves ensuring the smooth operation of the vehicle inventory and lot. This position requires a responsible individual who can move, clean, and refurbish both new and used cars. The Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized vehicle lot, delivering cars as requested, and performing various dealership errands. Though this position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, it plays an essential supporting role in the daily dealership operations.
The Lot Attendant must maintain high standards of Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) by providing impeccable vehicle presentation and outstanding service. The role demands adherence to company policies and procedures, safety rules at federal, state, and local levels, and the core values of the company. Duties include cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors, maintaining work area safety and cleanliness, and keeping accurate records of hours worked using the company’s timekeeping system.
Ideal candidates should have at least a GED or high school diploma, up to three years of relevant work experience preferred, and possess a valid driver’s license. The position requires basic computer skills to navigate timekeeping software, strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members, and a commitment to punctual attendance including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Given the role’s exposure to outdoor conditions, candidates must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors throughout the dealership premises.
Hendrick Acura offers a unique environment that blends the fast-paced automotive industry with a people-first approach. This job is well-suited for self-motivated individuals interested in automotive operations and looking to build a career in automotive sales or service. The dealership welcomes diversity and inclusivity while encouraging applications from minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Working at Hendrick Acura means joining a team that values honesty, teamwork, customer enthusiasm, and continuous personal and professional growth.
