Job Description
Servco Pacific Inc. is a leading automotive and mobility solutions company headquartered in Hawaii. With a rich history spanning over a century, Servco has grown into a multifaceted enterprise that provides reliable and innovative products and services across the automotive and technology industries. Servco operates numerous car dealerships, offers vehicle leasing and financing options, and provides a wide range of after-sales and mobility services designed to enhance the customer experience and support community sustainability. Known for its commitment to values like respect, service, teamwork, and innovation, Servco fosters a culture that prioritizes both employee development and customer satisfaction. With a workforce of more than 2,000 dedicated professionals, Servco empowers people through the freedom of movement and opportunity not only in Hawaii but also in other regions such as California and Australia.
The Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) in Kapolei is a critical hub where purchased cars are carefully inspected and prepared for delivery to various Servco dealerships and customers. Servco is currently seeking motivated individuals for the fast-paced role of Lot Attendant at the VPC. This role involves the inspection, staging, and preparation of vehicles to ensure a seamless and efficient transportation process. The Lot Attendant is responsible for inspecting vehicles for damage at the pier, photographing them for records, staging them properly on the lot for loading onto car carrier trucks, and shuttling vehicles between storage and service areas as needed. Additional duties include preparing new vehicles by removing protective materials such as metal ties and plastic coatings, maintaining accurate vehicle key files, ensuring vehicles are properly fueled, charging dead batteries, and changing flat tires.
The position offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $17.85 to $19.84 per hour and operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional required overtime including evenings and Saturdays. Servco emphasizes operational safety, requiring candidates to hold valid driver’s licenses with clean driving records and the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles of different sizes. Additionally, candidates must obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card within one month of hire to access the secured VPC environment, and Servco assists in facilitating this credentialing process.
This role serves as an excellent entry point for career growth within the automotive industry. Servco offers advancement opportunities into positions such as Detail Helper, Parts Delivery Driver, Parts Warehouse Person, Lube Tire Helper, and Auto Technician. Aspiring automotive technicians are encouraged to pursue further education such as an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology to progress into technical roles. Servco’s workplace culture supports team players dedicated to customer service excellence and values clear communication and legible documentation skills. Employees in the VPC contribute vital support that ensures the smooth handoff of vehicles, enhancing both dealer and customer satisfaction across the organization.
Join Servco’s dynamic Vehicle Processing Center team and be part of a company that has set the standard for automotive service and innovation in Hawaii and beyond. Apply online today to start your journey with Servco, where you can build a rewarding career in the automotive field with a trusted and respected industry leader.
