We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Lot Attendant to join our team on a full-time basis. This entry-level position plays a crucial operational role within the dealership, responsible for the upkeep and organization of our vehicle inventory lot.

The Lot Attendant is tasked with maintaining the appearance and functionality of the vehicle lot, ensuring that all vehicles are clean, properly parked, and easily accessible to customers and staff. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including moving vehicles safely between the lot, service areas, and other locations, performing light vehicle maintenance such as washing, vacuuming, checking tire pressure, and refueling, as well as providing basic customer service. The role demands a high level of attention to detail to ensure vehicles are displayed to highlight their best features and that the lot is kept orderly and free of debris at all times. The Lot Attendant supports dealership operations by assisting with inventory management, tagging new vehicles, and occasionally helping with dealership events and promotions. This position offers a dynamic work environment primarily outdoors with variable weather exposure, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Successful candidates will have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, a commitment to safety, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers and team members. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a hands-on role within the automotive industry and offers valuable experience in vehicle handling and dealership operations.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds
  • Mostly outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions
  • Fast-paced environment requiring quick and efficient movement

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Job Duties

  • Park and retrieve vehicles from the lot for customers, service technicians, and sales staff
  • Ensure vehicles are properly arranged and parked on the lot according to dealership standards
  • Transport vehicles to and from service areas, body shops, and other locations as needed
  • Keep the lot neat, organized, and free of debris
  • Arrange vehicles in a manner that promotes their best features and appeal
  • Ensure all vehicles are locked and secure after business hours
  • Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles to ensure they are clean and presentable for customers
  • Perform light vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure, refueling, and topping off fluids
  • Greet customers and assist them in locating their vehicles
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing customer needs in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist with receiving and inspecting new vehicles delivered to the dealership
  • Ensure accurate tagging and documentation of vehicle inventory
  • Assist with dealership events and promotions as needed
  • Support other dealership departments with various tasks as requested
