The role of Lot Attendant at Garber Automotive Group is an entry-level yet vital position essential to maintaining vehicle presentation and overall lot management. The selected candidate will engage in responsibilities requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and a proactive attitude. Key tasks include positioning vehicles correctly in inventory as per dealership guidance and ensuring all equipment is maintained in operational condition. Lot Attendants are responsible for preparing vehicles for sale by removing plastics and stickers and placing sales price mirror signs as necessary. Additional duties involve assisting with vehicle deliveries to their final destinations and reporting any damage or malfunctions promptly to a supervisor. This role also includes coordinating with the Service Department to manage vehicles that require attention. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, including fueling when needed, and ensuring the lot is neat, free of debris, snow, ice, and well-landscaped are crucial aspects of this job. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Prior customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license required as well as clean driving record
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
  • Professional appearance and work ethic

Job Duties

  • Places vehicles in proper inventory position as directed
  • Keeps equipment in good working order
  • Installs sales price mirror signs when required
  • Strips all new vehicles of plastics and stickers for front lot display
  • Assists in physically delivering vehicles to final destination when required
  • Reports all lot damage or malfunctioning of vehicles on display to supervisor
  • Delivers damaged or malfunctioning vehicles to the Service Department
  • Ensures vehicles within demo line are maintained in a presentable fashion including gas and cleanliness
  • Ensures walkways and entrances to showroom are free of debris, ice and snow at all times
  • Ensures all landscape areas are free of debris, weeds, and trash at all times
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
