This particular role is a Bartender position offering an hourly wage of $16.90. The Bartender serves a pivotal role in delivering a vibrant and engaging bar experience within the hotel’s food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, skilled in crafting high-quality beverages, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a careful balance between technical bartending skills and hospitality excellence to ensure guests receive a memorable visit with impeccable service. Responsibilities include preparing cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks according to precise recipes and portion controls while maintaining an energetic and welcoming atmosphere at the bar.

In this role, you will also be expected to maintain thorough product knowledge, assist in managing bar inventory, and uphold all responsible alcohol service guidelines. Safety and cleanliness during every shift are paramount, as is adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards such as OSHA, HAZMAT, MSDS, and PPE requirements. Daily tasks involve setup and breakdown of bar stations, restocking supplies, handling transactions accurately, including cash, credit, room charges, and complimentary services, and balancing the till and tip-outs securely. Your attention to detail and ability to handle customer inquiries and special requests with professionalism will significantly contribute to the operational success of the bar and overall hotel outlet.

Job Requirements

  • Two years of bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
  • Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, food service standards, guest relations, and bar menus
  • Ability to communicate professionally, multitask under pressure, and create memorable guest experiences

  • Valid Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local alcohol service laws and company policies is preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and portion-control standards while creating an engaging and professional guest experience
  • Deliver attentive hospitality by offering knowledgeable recommendations, describing wines and spirits clearly, accommodating special requests or dietary needs, and addressing guest concerns appropriately
  • Support daily bar operations by completing all setup and breakdown tasks, including requisitioning and stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, condiments, and glassware
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service by clearing glassware, disposing of waste, sanitizing surfaces, and monitoring inventory levels
  • Complete accurate opening and closing inventory counts, requisitions, and all required shift documentation
  • Process cash, credit card, room charge, and comp transactions in accordance with company policies, and balance the bank and tip-outs at the end of each shift
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service by refraining from serving minors or visibly intoxicated guests and following all regulatory requirements
  • Follow all food handling, sanitation, TIPS, and health department guidelines and comply with OSHA, HAZMAT, MSDS, and PPE requirements
  • Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, accidents, or unusual guest behavior to management
