We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic Courtesy Vehicle Representative to join our team at Longo Lexus. This full-time, on-site position at our El Monte facility offers a base hourly wage of $18.00 with a variety of comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is enthusiastic and positive, works well as part of a team, and communicates effectively with guests and colleagues alike. No prior experience is required; while customer service experience is preferred, we are ready to provide training to help you succeed.
As a Courtesy Vehicle Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our loan vehicles are meticulously maintained, clean, fueled, and ready for guest use. You will assist Loan Car Representatives by facilitating smooth vehicle hand-offs, preparing loan/rental contracts, and conducting vehicle walkthroughs to explain vehicle operations and accessories. This role also requires handling guest inquiries and resolving complaints with integrity and professionalism, maintaining formal records for damaged units, tracking gas usage, managing lost and found items, and helping with citation issues.
The job involves physically demanding activities, such as frequently bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must maintain an acceptable and safe driving record, possess a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate the ability to work well with the public. This position demands high ethical standards, a professional appearance, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.

Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to coordinate activities with other employees
- ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
- ability to work well with the public
- able to frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
- able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- able to adjust, move, and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- able to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment
- able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of six months customer service experience desired
- ability to coordinate activities with other employees
- able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
- ability to work well with the public
- must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
Job Duties
- Provides loan/rental cars to guest in a courteous and prompt manner
- completes loan/rental contracts thoroughly and accurately
- shows guests the vehicle and performs a walk around explaining operation and accessories
- works with rental companies or designated companies to obtain additional vehicles
- assists with hands on inventory of loan/rental vehicles as needed
- answers guests' questions concerning services performed or products purchased or refers them to someone who can
- handles guests' complaints with integrity and poise and refers dissatisfied guests to appropriate individuals for resolution
- answers, transfers, and provides information to incoming service calls
- performs other administrative duties and assists in other areas of the Service Department as assigned by Management
- maintains high ethical standards in all actions
- always maintains a professional appearance
- prepares paperwork and documents for all damaged LCCS units
- ensures all vehicles are returned with the same condition as loaned out to the guest
- assists the Business Office with citation issues
- keeps track of all lost and found items, contacts guest and/or turns them in to security
- ensures all loan cars are properly maintained, serviced, and ready for guest delivery
- maintains a gas log for gas spending on all LCCS units
- prepares contracts and log for flatbed deliveries
