Kroger prides itself on innovation and delivering exceptional experiences for customers, communities, and employees alike by placing food at the center of its mission. This dynamic environment offers employees opportunities for growth, development, and meaningful careers through a culture of inclusion, respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, and safety.
The role of Transportation Delivery Supervisor at Kroger’s fulfillment center is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing transportation metrics such as customer service (including Net Promoter Score), safety, and final mile costs. This position focuses on leading hourly associates directly in their daily duties to ensure safety, productivity, and engagement. The supervisor supports all facets of delivery operations to drive efficiency and maximize customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on leadership within the van environment, ensuring that the team adheres to company protocols and maintains high standards for on-time, fresh, and friendly deliveries. The Transportation Delivery Supervisor also collaborates closely with operations planning teams to coordinate schedules and manage delivery issues proactively.
Key responsibilities include supervising and coaching a team of delivery drivers, managing equipment upkeep to remove barriers for the team, and fostering a positive, professional work environment. The supervisor communicates effectively across departments and with customers to resolve delivery challenges and continuously improves team performance through regular coaching, feedback, and training. This role demands strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to respond to changing priorities, and a commitment to upholding Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in transportation, distribution, or manufacturing leadership seeking to contribute to a renowned company poised for continued growth.
