It also requires adherence to food safety regulations, including monitoring temperature guidelines to ensure products are kept fresh and safe. Pre-inspection of the delivery vehicle before each route is necessary to help maintain operational efficiency and safety.

Applicants must meet several requirements including possessing a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, good driving record, and passing a DOT-regulated medical exam annually. The position might also require a chauffeur’s license depending on the state. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and demonstrate good communication and customer service skills. Previous experience in customer service, delivery driving, or a related field, along with a high school diploma or GED, are desirable qualifications.
