Job Description

IEH Laboratories is a recognized leader in food safety testing and environmental monitoring services, committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the food and beverage industries. Located in Seattle, WA, IEH Laboratories has established itself as a trusted partner for numerous clients by providing reliable, timely, and precise laboratory testing services. With a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the company emphasizes maintaining a safe working environment and upholding rigorous scientific protocols to meet both regulatory requirements and client expectations. IEH Laboratories prides itself on fostering a collaborative work culture that values teamwork, professional growth, and dedication to service excellence.

Currently, IEH Laboratories is seeking diligent individuals to join their Seattle facility in the role of Logistics Support. This full-time position offers an hourly wage between $21.00 and $22.00 and operates on a fixed schedule Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. The role is essential to the smooth functioning of the laboratory by supporting daily logistical and operational activities. Candidates will participate in media and sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, and specific sample testing steps under supervision. They will also manage inventory control, maintain cleanliness through washing lab glassware and general laboratory cleaning, and provide support with equipment movement, including moving pallets and lab instruments using appropriate tools such as pallet jacks.

In addition to routine laboratory tasks, the Logistics Support position includes occasional courier duties and assistance with building maintenance, housekeeping, cleaning, sanitation, and waste disposal, ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The role requires the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting weights up to 50 pounds on occasion and maintaining strict aseptic techniques in sample handling to prevent contamination. Candidates must have strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.

IEH Laboratories offers an attractive benefits package following a brief waiting period, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability coverage, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts (FSA), an employee assistance program, paid time off, paid holidays, paid bereavement leave, and a 401(k) plan with up to 3% employer matching after eligibility criteria are met. The laboratory operates on weekends occasionally, so employees must be willing to work off-schedule hours as needed. Due to the laboratory environment involving exposure to various food allergens, applicants with moderate to severe food allergies are advised against applying.

This role is perfect for candidates who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to food safety efforts by supporting laboratory operations. Successful applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record, reflecting their reliability and capability to perform courier and operational tasks. The Logistics Support position at IEH Laboratories in Seattle represents an exciting opportunity to be part of a respected company dedicated to ensuring public health and food safety through precise laboratory work and teamwork.
