Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations
- Proven supervisory skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations
Job Qualifications
- Experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations (air and ocean required)
- Past supervisory experience
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, web systems, CargoWise, and internal systems
Job Duties
- Oversee daily operations across air and ocean forwarding, warehouse, truck, moving, and accounting functions
- Coordinate shipments with customs brokers, carriers, truckers, and customers
- Ensure timely, accurate billing, vendor invoice processing, and payment collection
- Monitor accounts receivable and take action on overdue balances
- Support and resolve operational and customer service issues
- Collaborate with sales to maintain and grow business and assist with quotations and pricing
- Negotiate rates and ensure accurate service pricing
- Manage costs to maximize profitability
- Supervise staff, support performance evaluations, and take disciplinary action when needed
- Maintain organized operational records and files
