Job Description

Stonhard is a global leader in manufacturing and distributing high-performance flooring systems, known for delivering exceptional products and services to a variety of industries including commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. With decades of experience in floor manufacturing, installation, and maintenance, Stonhard prides itself on innovation, quality, and a commitment to safety and environmental responsibility. The company fosters a dynamic work environment focused on continuous improvement and career development, where employees can grow their skills and contribute to the company’s ongoing success. Stonhard offers comprehensive health benefits, financial plans, and opportunities for advancement, making it a desirable employer in the manufacturing and industrial logistics sector.

The Logistics Coordinator role at Stonhard is a critical position responsible for managing the physical and administrative aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and fulfilling orders of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual capable of executing daily distribution plans within the company’s Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. The coordinator ensures all system-generated replenishment, transfer, and delivery indicators are executed accurately and timely to maintain seamless operations across multiple facilities.

In this role, the coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating inter-facility movements, creating schedules, and monitoring transfers between manufacturing sites, central distribution centers, and satellite warehouses. Analytical skills are crucial as the coordinator will analyze distribution data and MRP updates to identify abnormalities like planning exceptions, inventory imbalances, and workflow disruptions. They will also collaborate with the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) team and other key stakeholders to review performance metrics, discuss supply chain and distribution key performance indicators (KPIs), and participate in improvement initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency, reducing freight costs, and enhancing inventory accuracy.

Supporting the Inventory Control Specialist by managing aged inventory and facilitating internal sales orders between corporate entities is another key responsibility of this position. The role requires hands-on experience with MRP and ERP systems, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, and the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment. With the opportunity to impact operations positively, the Logistics Coordinator position offers a competitive pay range between $22.30 and $27.11 per hour, alongside comprehensive benefits including paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, pension plans, stock purchase opportunities, and career development programs.

Physical demands for this role are minimal but include long periods of computer use, and occasional requirements to wear safety glasses, gloves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes for safety compliance. Stonhard is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair consideration to all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, religion, or other protected statuses. This is an excellent role for individuals seeking to advance their logistics career in a reputable manufacturing company while contributing to operational excellence and supply chain optimization.
