Job Description

Lazer Logistics is a prominent national leader in yard management, known for employing over 6,000 professionals across the United States and Canada. The company emphasizes stability, safety, and quality of life for its employees, making it a sought-after destination for those in the logistics and transportation industry. As a pioneering force in the yard management sector, Lazer Logistics utilizes modern, well-maintained equipment, including electric vehicle (EV) yard trucks, to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible operations. The company boasts over 2 million zero-emission miles through its EV program and offers an Employee Ownership Program as part of its commitment to employee investment and engagement. Opportunities for career advancement into leadership and management roles are readily available, supported by a team environment that prioritizes safety and respect.

The role available is for a Local Yard Driver at Lazer Logistics. This position is tailored for drivers seeking consistency, predictability, and a better day-to-day driving experience without the hassles of long routes, traffic, or multiple stops. As a Local Yard Driver, the individual will remain in one location during their entire shift, focusing on moving trailers within the yard safely and efficiently. The job involves operating tractor-trailers within a controlled environment, performing drop and hook operations, and conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Communication with dispatch and yard personnel is essential to maintain smooth operations. Drivers will benefit from predictable hours, reliable pay, and the satisfaction of working in a steady, repeatable role.

This role is ideal for those holding a valid Class A CDL and a current DOT Medical Card, who also have experience operating tractor-trailers and maintaining a safe driving record. The nature of the work requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and the physical capacity to get in and out of the truck throughout the shift. Starting pay is set at $24.00 per hour with opportunities for overtime after 40 hours and weekly pay schedules. Secondary benefits include a referral bonus of up to $2,000. Overall, this opportunity offers a balanced mix of financial incentives, career stability, and personal well-being for professional drivers.
